About the Role
We are hiring Production Operators across three specialized positions on our packaging and production lines. Each role requires technical knowledge of specific equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast, sustained pace in a food manufacturing environment. - 1. Wrapper Operator
- 2. Slicer Operator
- 3. Cartoner Operator
1. Wrapper Operator
Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the wrapping machine that seals each pizza in plastic film.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure machine settings (temperature, speed, film type) for each production run
- Change plastic film rolls using proper procedures and maintain machine speed with conveyor flow
- Ensure pizzas are properly spaced on the infeed conveyor; assist with rework as needed
- Log all downtime events and report machine malfunctions to the supervisor immediately
- Assist maintenance during routine PM work; keep work area clean
Qualifications:
- Experience operating industrial wrapping or packaging machinery preferred
- Ability to make mechanical adjustments, change film rolls, and monitor multiple variables simultaneously
- Able to lift film rolls up to 35 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
2. Slicer Operator
Responsible for loading and monitoring the automatic slicer machine that portions ingredients onto pizzas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load product sticks into the correct slicer position and verify correct slice count per pizza; manually correct under-application
- Inspect product sticks for freshness and reject any broken or expired product
- Monitor mineral oil levels and machine clusters; report damage or malfunctions immediately
- SAFETY: Ensure the blade safety cover/guard is properly positioned at all times
- Change gloves and wash hands whenever touching non-food items or the floor; keep work area clean
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate machinery safely and follow all safety protocols — blade guard compliance is non-negotiable
- Attention to detail in monitoring slice counts and product quality
- Ability to perform repetitive overhead and forward-reaching motion; able to lift up to 35 lbs
3. Cartoner Operator
Responsible for running and maintaining the automatic cartoning machine that places wrapped pizzas into printed retail boxes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the cartoner prior to production: verify machine cleanliness, settings, ink/glue levels, and date/time accuracy
- Load correct pizza boxes onto the feeder; verify box type matches the product being run
- Monitor glue and ink levels throughout production; inspect printed boxes for correct date codes, information, and clean flap seals
- Remove and dispose of defective boxes; report ink/glue irregularities or machine malfunctions to supervisor immediately
- Assist maintenance during PM work; keep work area clean
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience operating industrial cartoning or packaging machinery preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot basic inkjet printing and glue application systems
- Strong attention to detail in verifying date codes and box quality; able to lift up to 35 lbs
What You Bring
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with production equipment and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Excellent attendance and reliability
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Occasionally Saturdays – No work on holidays
