Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Produce Manager to oversee the operations of our produce department. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for fresh produce.
Duties:
– Manage the day-to-day operations of the produce department
– Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of produce items
– Ensure that all produce is properly displayed and maintained to meet quality standards
– Train and develop team members on proper handling and care of produce products
– Monitor sales trends and adjust inventory levels accordingly
– Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce needs
– Maintain a clean and organized work environment
– Implement pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability
– Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions and special events
Skills:
– Multilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse customers
– Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
– Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries and orders
– Ability to price products accurately based on market conditions
– Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
– Proficiency in using POS systems for sales transactions and inventory management
– Experience in training and developing team members to ensure high performance
– Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Ability to recruit, hire, and train new team members as needed
