Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.
Sexsmith Secondary School is seeking a Probationary Full-Time Principal.
Sexsmith Secondary School is located within the Town of Sexsmith, Alberta, approximately 26 kms north of the city of Grande Prairie.
The school has a student population of approximately 533 students in Grade 7 to Grade 12.
We are seeking an educational leader who is committed to student learning, equity and wellness and who possesses the skills and work ethic to engage students, staff, parents and the community in the development of a research-driven, student centered learning environment.
We are seeking a leader who is truly committed to on-going professional learning and is adept at supporting all staff in their own professional growth.
QualificationsBachelor of Education degree
Current Alberta Teachers Certificate
You aspire for excellence in all competencies of the Teaching Quality Standard
and Leadership Quality Standard (LQS)
You are committed to a research-driven professional practice and are able to work as part of a collaborative team
LQS certification must be obtained, if not currently held
Your willingness to participate in extracurricular activities is an asset
