Role Summary
Located at our Green Gables Golf Course and reporting to the Director of Golf, the Player Assistant will be involved in a variety of tasks in the day-to-day functions of the Golf Operations Department while ensuring exceptional customer service to guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for golf and the ability to enforce course policies while having the ability to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
What You’ll Do
Provide assistance to golfers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from the start to finish of their game.
Keep tee times and player schedules well-organized, facilitating an efficient flow on the golf course.
Lead golfers through the course with clear communication, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere.
Prioritize golfer satisfaction by addressing their needs, managing pace of play, and enforcing course rules courteously.
Be adaptable to changes in player dynamics, and swiftly address and resolve any issues or challenges on the golf course.
Clean, stock and store golf carts as required.
Assist with starting and marshalling when required.
Assist in tournament and event execution.
Assist other departments when required.
Report any issues or concerns to the Director of Golf.
Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Knowledge of golf operations considered an asset.
Passion for golf.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work well in a team environment.
Valid drivers license and own transportation.
