Position: Telephone Operator
Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $40–$70/hour
Location: US, UK, or Canada
Duration: 3–4 weeks
Commitment: 15+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design questions and assist in training AI models related to telephone operations.
- Operate telephone switchboards and systems for various call types, including local and emergency calls.
- Update directory information and perform clerical duties such as typing and proofreading.
- Monitor automated systems for collect calls and provide assistance for special billing requests.
- Provide relay service for users who are deaf or hard of hearing and promote company products when appropriate.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 4+ years full-time work experience as a Telephone Operator.
- Be based in the US, UK, or Canada.
- Strong writing skills and comfort with various computer applications and platforms.
