About Outway

Outway is a fast-growing consumer brand with a focus on performance socks built on thoughtful design, quality products, and strong operational execution. As we continue to scale across ecommerce, wholesale, and new channels, operational excellence is critical to delivering a great experience for our customers and partners. We're a lean, collaborative team where ownership matters, communication is direct, and everyone plays a role in building systems that scale.

About the Role

We're looking for a Videographer / Editor to join our content team at Outway. This role is entirely focused on one thing: creating video ads that sell. That means ideating, filming, and editing paid video content that lives on Meta ad platforms and drives real business results across every stage of our marketing funnel. This is not cinematic filmmaking, it's not organic social content, and it's not brand storytelling. It's conversion-focused video production where success is measured in click-through rates, spend efficiency, and return on ad spend.

You'll own the full production cycle from concept to final cut, turning out multiple ad variations per week and iterating based on what the data says is working. If you're energized by cracking a winning ad format, testing new hooks, and watching performance numbers respond to your creative decisions, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Capture

  • Ideate, plan, and film video ad content multiple times per week throughout Victoria with ambassadors, partners, and models, and in the studio with product and props
  • Work collaboratively with models, coordinators, community ambassadors, contractors, and Outway team members to capture quality content
  • Execute on strategy and creative briefs provided by the CBO
  • Operate company-provided Sony mirrorless camera (Sony equipment is our standard, no exceptions)
  • Shoot and manage footage in LOG profile with a strong understanding of proper exposure for post-production flexibility
  • Apply lighting principles for both indoor and outdoor environments

Post-Production & Editing

  • Edit 10+ Meta ad variations per week, testing different hooks, CTAs, music, pacing, and formats from the same footage
  • Convert and process video files from camera to correct delivery formats (e.g. LOG to REC709)
  • Build and iterate on ad creative based on performance data, moving fast and staying close to what's working
  • Apply advanced editing techniques including color correction, sound design, captions, overlays, and transitions
  • As part of the broader content team, contribute to other content needs across the brand from time to time as capacity allows

Organization & Administration

  • Upload and manage footage to the team's cloud storage with a high standard of organization, ensuring clips are properly named, sorted, and never lost
  • Work within Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, and Air for day-to-day project and asset management
  • Follow established team processes and systems with consistency, as a remote team we rely on our workflows to keep production running smoothly

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Bring ideas and creative input to improve both capture quality and ad performance
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Meta's ad ecosystem, formats, and best practices
  • Work closely with the CBO  to understand testing hypotheses and translate them into creative output

Required Skills

Technical

  • High proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong Sony camera operation skills and video capture fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of LOG profiles, LUTs, and color grading for consistent brand output
  • Understanding of frame rates, video formats, resolutions, and delivery specs for Meta platforms
  • Audio editing: dialogue cleanup, music selection and editing, basic mixing, and sound design

Paid Ad Creative

  • Solid understanding of what drives high CTR and conversion in paid social, specifically on Meta
  • Experience producing high-volume ad creative, comfortable with 10+ variations per week
  • Ability to read performance data and translate it into creative decisions

Soft Skills

  • Highly organized with a strong ability to follow processes and maintain systems without being managed
  • Self-motivated and execution-focused with a bias toward getting things done
  • Strong eye for visual trends, scroll-stopping hooks, and click-worthy ad creative
  • Collaborative and egoless when working from briefs
  • Comfortable with tight deadlines and constant iteration

Culture Fit

We're looking for someone who embodies the Outway ethos: passionate about fitness, the pursuit of improvement, and athletic lifestyles. You appreciate resilience, are egoless in collaboration, and believe in working hard to achieve excellence. Above all, we want someone who sees this as more than a job. This role is a real opportunity to build something, grow with a brand that's scaling fast, and leave a mark on how Outway shows up in the world.
