Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. We’re a young, scrappy company with 9 locations, so we are looking for a candidate who can stay scrappy with us. The ideal candidate will have a background in equipment maintenance and repairs, with experience in manufacturing facilities a plus. This role involves providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various systems, including HVAC/R, dishwashers, ovens, coffee brewers, espresso machines, along with general site maintenance and general support. If you are good at solving problems and enjoy variety, this could be a good fit! This position will also assist with various projects and cafe buildouts as we continue to grow our company throughout central Pennsylvania.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at our sites and customer sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to assess equipment performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and electrical configurations.
- Perform regular site and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on customer needs and potential solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols, including the use of scissor lifts when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service updates and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and develop practical solutions.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Previous field service experience is preferred, along with strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
