Position ScopeThe Packaging Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that product launches and transitions are flawless through process mapping and implementation to identify risks and eliminate challenges between formulating, marketing and production to ensure successful launches against set milestones, timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities & Duties
Coordinate launches and transitions while effectively collaborating with the Sales team to ensure they are prepared to rebid on current business or bid on new potential business
Set directives and coordinate with internal staff to ensure necessary functions of the product life cycle are implemented to customer satisfaction
Monitor the phases of new projects – from receiving the order to pre-development, first runs, art work, sample status, shipments to the sales team – so as to ensure all key stakeholders involved are aware of status in real-time
Prepare, modify and develop portfolios for each new project including performing risk assessments for each phase in the process
Determine and communicate project milestones with key stakeholders, holding stakeholders accountable for achieving results
Work with R&D and Sales Teams to identify and position Apollo products based on end-use performance of products in various applications through comparative analysis and testing
Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to prepare and deliver presentations to customers as well as in the development of technical and marketing literature
Review the data required for label creation for regulatory and formulation validity and compliance
Develop project timelines for all new product lunches and packaging conversions
Maintain regular and timely communication amongst cross-functional teams and quickly resolve issues throughout the development process in order to manage and achieve aggressive product launch timelines
Thoroughly understand customer product and process requirements and work with appropriate Apollo members to ensure vendors comply with communicated customer and compliance requirements and that paperwork, samples and results are received in a timely manner
Monitor the quality aspects of product launches and be in direct and regular contact with the QA/QC/IQC Team to ensure launch products are produced to the highest standards and risks are mitigated
Work with the Warehouse team as needed to coordinate QA inspections and audits, measurements and quarantine measures
