About The Role
We’re looking for a people-first, results-driven leader to join our team as General Manager at Wine & Beyond Kelowna.
Working within the Wine & Beyond banner, you will help foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and friendly competition, while supporting sales initiatives through strong operational execution.
In this role, you’ll lead a high-performing team and oversee all aspects of store operations—from customer experience and team development to sales and financial performance. You’ll play a key role in driving results, building a strong culture, and delivering an exceptional in-store experience.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, lead, and develop an engaged, high-performing team
- Coach and mentor employees through ongoing feedback and training
- Set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and drive accountability
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning
Customer Experience & Sales
- Champion a customer-first culture that drives loyalty and sales
- Lead by example in product knowledge and selling behaviours
- Execute promotions, merchandising, and in-store initiatives
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Financial & Operational Performance
- Own store performance across sales, labour, and profitability targets
- Analyze KPIs and identify opportunities to improve results
- Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and daily operations
- Ensure accuracy in financial processes and reporting
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure store standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support a safe and secure environment for employees and customers
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in a management role
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume retail or big-box environment
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive business results
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Post-secondary education
- Wine, beer, or spirits knowledge/training
- ProServe (or Serving It Right) certification
- First Aid certification
