Full job description
Seeking a motivated, reliable, enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills to join our busy, dispensing Optometric Office. Our office provides an excellent work environment with fantastic staff, steps away from downtown Oakville.
Salary: $20.00 – $22.00 hourly depending on level of experience.
Hours: Monday through Friday. No evenings, no weekends, finished Friday by 3:00 pm.

Experience:
Administrative assistant: 1 year preferred
Receptionist: 1 year preferred
Successful candidates must have the following qualities:
Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
Pay close attention to detail
Always punctual
Positive attitude with fellow team members and patients
Be a problem solver
Continually striving to be the best they can be
Be able to work well under pressure
Exceptional organizational skills
Daily Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling appointments for patients
Responding to all patient inquires in a friendly and professional manner
Organizing files for billing and maintaining patient records
Communicating with suppliers and placing orders
Interacting with patients in the dispensary and reception area
Assisting patients in selecting eyewear and contact lens teachings
Reconciling invoices and statements on a monthly basis
Attending staff meetings
Participating in staff education and development activities
Dealing with OHIP claims and reconciliation
Covering for other staff member vacation/sick days
Maintaining the cleanliness of the office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
