Position Overview
The National Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, and assisting with the coordination of internal maintenance operations and service functions. Working closely with consultants, suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, this role will support all aspects of project management.
The expected pay for this position is $65,000 – $95,000.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support the project management team with planning, scheduling and executing project deliverables from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate communication among consultants, contractors and cross-functional internal teams.
- Assist with procurement, vendor coordination, and logistics for project materials and services.
- Track and report on project progress, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
- Facilitate and oversee project related operational relocations and establishment of temporary operations.
- Support internal teams with the successful attainment of all required permits and licensing.
- Monitor project quality standards, ensuring deliverables align with expectations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and attend all project status meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of formal documents, presentations and reports.
Inside Services Coordination
- Assist with coordinating internal facility maintenance and repair operations
- Liaise with various vendors and trades to efficiently support routine maintenance, service and emergency repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Track maintenance budgets, ensuring accurate record keeping, data entry and reporting.
- Other responsibilities as determined by management.
- Follow established company policies and procedures.
- Maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow Health & Safety Program and observe provincial Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Participate in meetings and all training, as required.
- Ability to travel as required.
Qualifications Required
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels including executive management.
- Strong computer proficiency with all MS Office suite of products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.
- Exceptional communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and personal initiative.
- Acting with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
- Sound organizational ability and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to quickly build strong relationships and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high quality results.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
- Post-Secondary education or technical diploma in construction, building, civil, architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in commercial construction specializing in project coordination.
- Knowledge of municipal planning and approval processes and policies.
- Understanding of construction drawings and building systems including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
- Knowledge of general contract terms and metrics related to construction.
- Valid Driver’s License.
