Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nanofabrication Scientist, based in Waterloo, ON. The Nanofabrication Scientist will design, fabricate, and characterize nanostructures and devices for quantum applications. Day-to-day tasks involve lithography, deposition, etching processes, and optimization of fabrication protocols. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring process reproducibility, maintaining cleanroom standards, and contributing to research and development projects.
Qualifications
- Expertise in lithography, etching, and thin-film deposition processes
- Proficiency in device characterization and microscopy techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in quantum systems or quantum device fabrication is a plus
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
