SUMMARY
The Heavy Duty Cleaner will be responsible for a designated job site contracted to BGIS for service. They will execute heavy cleaning duties as per the client contract while adhering to health and safety practices with utmost professionalism striving to exceed client expectations.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Light Cleaning Duties
Sweep hard surface floors.
Mop hard Surface floors.
Cleaning of stairwells and railings.
Vaccuum carpets.
Glass cleaning.
Empties and cleaning waste baskets.
Operates auto scrubber, swing machine and carpet steam cleaner.
Assist with tasks that require ladders.
Collects garbage/recycling and places in designated area.
Performs periodic work.
Light bulb replacement.
Notifies management of occurring deficiencies or needs of repairs.
Other
Responsibilities may vary depending on the work site.
Other duties that may assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Requires 1-year minimum experience in industrial/commercial facility cleaning operations.
Self-starter, willing to learn, able to work independently.
Team player.
Good verbal communication and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Positive attitude toward all aspects of Environment, Health and Safety.
Knowledge of national and industry codes and standards such as WHMIS.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
