Seeking holiday help for Mother’s Day at Kathy + Co Flowers in Burlington, VT!
Available Positions:
- Holiday drivers – (for the days of 5/8, 5/9, and 5/10). Can be AM only or all-day
- Shop help – (for the days of 5/3 – 5/10)
Position Descriptions:
- Holiday Drivers: be responsible for running routes (many arrangements/deliveries are in each route). Job sometimes requires being determined and confident, etc., to be able to knock on doors and make calls and track down the recipient. Need to be able to pivot and problem-solve well. Drivers must have a valid license and their own car. Driver must be able and willing to use their own car for deliveries. Your vehicle will be insured by us during the time you’re driving for us and mileage is reimbursed.
- Shop help:
- Processing flowers (stripping off greens, cutting, and putting into buckets), maybe washing some buckets, pulling flowers from cooler to create ready-to-go buckets for the designers, selecting and organizing add-ons items for orders (i.e. chocolates, plush), and more as tasks arise. Must be able to safely lift heavy boxes of flowers (no more than 50 lbs).
- Taking orders by phone and in-person. Be polite and friendly to our customers while explaining our offering and walking them through the order. Must be comfortable being firm/saying "no" as well (often there are many requests for specialty flowers we will not have/offer). Order takers will function as shop help in between calls.Pay starts at $15 for non-experienced positions/staff members and goes up from there with experience and for certain positions.
