Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mercedes-Benz Master Technician/Diagnostician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive automotive expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain primarily Mercedes-Benz vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your deep understanding of advanced vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, and ADAS, will ensure our customers receive exceptional service and reliable vehicle performance. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on Mercedes-Benz vehicles using advanced scan tools, schematics, and diagnostic software to identify issues accurately (Xentry).
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and ADAS components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and powertrain systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service via clear communication with service advisors and completion of diligent vehicle inspections.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete all required documentation accurately, and adhere to safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Extensive dealership experience as a certified Master Technician or Diagnostician currently working at a Mercedes dealership or in a similar Mercedes focused independent shop.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex issues related to powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools.
- Experience working with ADAS systems calibration and alignment procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle components including suspension, brakes, steering systems, and electrical wiring.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to interpret auto estimating data accurately for repair planning.
- Familiarity with other European vehicles is a plus; experience with diesel engine repair is highly valued.
- Strong maintenance skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle care and troubleshooting. Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
