Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our dynamic food production team. Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat using precise knife techniques and meat cutting equipment
- Ensure all meat products are handled in accordance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Package meat products efficiently for retail display or wholesale distribution, maintaining product integrity
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning, marinating, or seasoning meats as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment to promote a safe and hygienic environment
- Support the team by providing excellent customer service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations
- Follow proper food handling procedures during all stages of meat processing to prevent contamination
Experience
- Prior experience in food production, kitchen work, or a related culinary environment is preferred
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience with food preparation and packaging in a retail or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for meat processing and food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control in all aspects of work
- Previous roles involving customer service or direct interaction with clients are a plus
