The Assistant Department Manager assists the Store Operations Manager and provides leadership to store team members. The Assistant Department Manager takes a leadership role to ensure that departmental standards of excellent customer service, high quality product, proper food safety, and efficient procedures are maintained. The Assistant Department Manager shares responsibility for the overall operation and profitability of the department and works with our team members to ensure high performance.

To be successful in this role:

One or more years of experience in a supervisory role in a customer service environment

Attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Strong customer service skills

The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations

Confidence, drive and enthusiasm

Decision-making and problem-solving abilities and a sense of responsibility

Able to work in fast paced environment

Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment and on the retail floor

Typical motions include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending and reaching

Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 10 – 40 lbs with a maximum weight lifted of 75 lbs occasionally

May be exposed to various allergens and work environments, including temperature changes

Will be required to spend the majority of time standing
