United Benefits Group Ltd. is a successful Life & Health Insurance Agency with over 25 years of providing services to business owners in Alberta and B.C.
We are looking for a good natured individual to fill an a permanent part time position as a Marketing Assistant. This position involves:
– Managing our marketing database including inputting prospective clients, confirming accuracy of database content and co-ordinating and communicating follow up dates.
– Preparing marketing emails to be sent to prospective clients.
– Preparing marketing emails to existing clients.
– Assistance with preparation of client reports.
– Electronic filing and client binder preparation.
– Phone follow up’s with clients and assisting clients with completing online documents.
– Various other administrative support functions.
We are looking for an individual who has the following characteristics:
– Tech savvy.
– Naturally very organized with good follow up skills.
– High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to learn quickly and to work independently.
– Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
Resourcefulness to find solutions (ie. Google it, call to find out, etc.), is an extremely important skill for this position.
Some experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a must with prior experience working with any type of database system, although not required, preferred.
Prior work experience is less important than having a great attitude, being prompt and being reliable which are important traits we are looking for.
We are a successful small business that recognizes the importance of time flexibility and of maintaining a work life balance. As such, we are able to offer flexible hours and number of work days to the right candidate.
The planned working hours are Monday to Thursday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
The starting salary for this position is $20.00-$22.00 an hour.
Some things to consider prior to applying:
– This is an on sight position and not a remote position.
– This position is in a home office setting in the beautiful community of Discovery Ridge which is in the SW at the bottom of 69th Street SW (south of the ring road).
We live in a big city. Depending on where you live in the city it could be a quick drive to our home office or it could be a very long drive so please consider if our location would be a reasonable commute for you (you will need to have your own vehicle).
– Working in a home office environment is a completely different experience than working in a large corporate office enviornment which is something important to consider (some people prefer working in a small business while others may not if they want to work in an enviornment with many other people).
We have 4 of our 6 kids at home (a 17 year daughter, a 16 year old daughter and 2 x 16 year old boys (we are a blended family with 2 of our 16 year old’s being twins). As such, there is a lot of activity in our environment with our kids in and out of our media room, exercise room and 2 of our home’s bedrooms which are adjacent to our working area.
I point all this out because it is a unique work environment. Busy, at times chaotic, yet at times relaxing and casual.
