United Gulf Developments is a Halifax based company that has been responsible for the planning and construction of large-scale development projects ranging from residential subdivisions to commercial plazas and multi-use units for over 30 years.

We are hiring an experienced and motivated full-timeMaintenance Managerto oversee the operations of our residential and commercial buildings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance activities and repairs to the mechanical equipment and various operating systems of our facilities.

Strong communication, and problem-solving skills, along withhands-on maintenance experiencewill be required to perform this job successfully, within reasonable timelines and while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Implement preventative maintenance schedules according to equipment manual recommendations, safety protocols and compliance with industry standards,

Facilitate inspections and coordinate all maintenance activities for regular and emergency service of equipment such as but not limited to boilers, chillers, fire alarm, HVAC and septic systems,

Establish and maintain professional relationships with vendors, technicians and contractors while overseeing the repair and maintenance work they perform,

Keep accurate records of all maintenance work completed and materials used,

Obtain and review vendor and contractor quotes for the procurement of parts, service and labour then assign resources accordingly,

Work proactively, responding promptly to maintenance issues and requests by reviewing all work orders, prioritizing jobs, issuing PO’s and following up to ensure the work is completed on time and in alignment with the quotes provided,

Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent trade school education,

Minimum 2 years related hands on experience with working knowledge of mechanical and operational systems as well as safety protocols,

Excellent knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices,

Advanced organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills plus attention to detail and management skills are essential,

Availability to work flexible hours and handle emergency situations

Strong computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Valid Drivers License
