What You’ll Be Doing: As a Commercial Installer, you are the face of Hill Country Overhead Door. You won’t just be turning wrenches; you’ll be managing high-level commercial installations and ensuring top-tier functionality for our clients.
- Installation & Service: Install, adjust, and maintain automatic and manual commercial doors, operators, and loading dock equipment (with some residential crossover).
- Site Management: Survey and prepare worksites, performing minor framing and structural adjustments as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Test all tools, equipment, and installations prior to project completion.
- Customer Experience: Document your work, review operations with the customer, and represent our brand with complete professionalism.
- Fleet & Tool Management: Oversee the care, maintenance, and inventory of your provided company vehicle and equipment.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in the Overhead Door industry (Commercial experience preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, basic math skills, and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain mechanical operations to customers and complete routine service reports.
- Licensing: A valid Driver’s License is required.
Physical Demands: This is a highly physical, hands-on role. You must be able to:
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally up to 150 pounds.
- Work comfortably and safely at elevated heights up to 40 feet.
- Regularly stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
