We’re a small, family-owned renovations company that takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, honesty, and treating our clients, and our crew like family. We specialize in residential remodels, additions, and custom renovations, and we’re growing. We’re looking for a hardworking, dependable Lead Carpenter who’s ready to take ownership of projects and be a key part of our team.
Position Summary
As a Lead Carpenter, you’ll be the on-site point person responsible for leading a small team, ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and to our high standards. This is a hands-on role — you’ll be swinging a hammer alongside your crew while also coordinating tasks, troubleshooting problems, and making sure every job is completed with care and attention to detail.
The majority of our work is in Guilford County. However, we are transitioning to have a crew working consistently in Montgomery, Davidson, Stanley, and Randolph County areas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and work alongside a small crew on residential renovation projects
- Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, flooring, siding, and finish work
- Plan daily tasks and delegate responsibilities to keep jobs on schedule
- Maintain clear communication with the company owner, clients, and subcontractors
- Read and follow plans, sketches, and work orders to ensure accuracy and quality
- Ensure tools and materials are used properly and safely
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and respectful of the client’s home
- Handle minor issues on-site and communicate challenges proactively
- Help train and mentor less experienced crew members
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on renovation or carpentry experience
- Prior experience leading a crew or team preferred
- Strong working knowledge of residential construction and carpentry techniques
- Solid communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable working in clients’ homes with respect and professionalism
- Must have a clean and neat appearance
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to problem-solve on the fly
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
Nice to Have
- Experience in kitchen/bath remodels, flooring, trim work, or drywall finishing
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
