Duties
- Operate commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, clothing, and other textiles according to established procedures.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality results.
- Perform routine cleaning of laundry areas, including sinks, machines, and storage spaces, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
- Assist with special cleaning tasks such as dry cleaning or stain removal when necessary.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of soiled linens in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry cycles, supplies used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with staff to prioritize laundry needs for residents or guests, ensuring timely delivery of clean items.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with laundry operations or cleaning services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
