Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Screed Operator to join our concrete construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating laser-guided screeding equipment to ensure precise, level concrete surfaces for large-scale concrete projects. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality finishes efficiently and safely, contributing to the successful completion of commercial and infrastructure developments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery on diverse construction sites, emphasizing accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
Duties
- Operate/ maintain/clean laser-guided screeding machines to level freshly poured concrete with precision and efficiency
- Coordinate with the concrete crew to ensure proper placement and timing of concrete pours
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal performance and surface quality
- Assist with the setup and calibration of laser-guided systems for accurate grading and finishing
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, including heavy equipment
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks to ensure compliance with project standards
- Complete any other task assigned to you by your supervisor
- Able to adapt to schedule changes
- Work outside long hours with little supervision
- Have reliable transportation
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including laser screeds, excavators, loaders, and grading equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on machinery
- Familiarity with concrete mixers, pumping systems, and finishing techniques for high-quality surface results preferred
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to safety standards
- Ability to understand specifications related to paving and concrete work
- Skilled in commercial vehicle operation with valid licenses for driving trucks and other large vehicles on construction sites is a plus
- Experience in rebar installation, concrete forming, and general construction site activities is highly desirable but not required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
