Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction, along with proven supervisory skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality landscape projects that meet client expectations. The Landscape Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating projects, supervising team members, and ensuring safety standards are upheld across all job sites.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance and construction projects from start to finish
- Lead a team of landscapers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Oversee irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper functioning
- Manage gardening tasks including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional service
- Schedule daily work assignments and monitor progress to meet deadlines
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are properly used and serviced
- Assist in the planning and execution of landscape designs and improvements
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in landscape maintenance or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and landscape design
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape construction processes and materials
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in supervising teams in outdoor or physical work settings is preferred
