General Landscape Labourer
Linney Landscaping Inc. is currently seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated General Landscape Labourer to join our growing team.
This is a full-time, year-round position with opportunities to learn new skills, operate equipment, and work on a variety of landscaping and construction projects throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Compensation
- $20.00-$27.00 per hour
- Paid weekly
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional hours may be available depending on workload, weather conditions, and seasonal requirements. As an outdoor industry, work schedules may occasionally be affected by heavy rain or severe weather.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Gardening and landscape maintenance
- Pruning shrubs and plants
- Lawn edging
- Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape materials
- Construction of flower beds and garden areas
- Lawn mowing and trimming
- Hardscape construction including retaining walls, patios, walkways, and other landscape features
- Loading, unloading, and handling materials and equipment
- General landscape labour and site cleanup
- Operation of landscaping and construction equipment
- Winter snow removal and ice management services
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Successful applicants will:
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have a clean driver’s abstract
- Be punctual, dependable and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
- Wear appropriate work clothing and personal protective equipment
- Maintain a professional attitude with clients, coworkers, and the public
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly
- Be physically capable of performing manual labour, lifting materials and working on active construction sites
