Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and functional. The Landscape Technician will work with both hand tools and power tools to build, maintain, and irrigate landscapes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute landscaping projects efficiently.
- Dig, plant, and maintain gardens, ensuring proper care for plants and soil health.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for plants.
- Build landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
- Experience in landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
