Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader, Landscaper to join our dynamic landscaping team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate landscape maintenance and landscaping projects, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of horticulture and lawn care, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the landscaping crew, providing clear direction and support to ensure efficient project completion
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Execute landscaping projects such as planting, soil preparation, mulching, and installation of hardscape features
- Manage irrigation systems, perform repairs, and ensure proper watering schedules for optimal plant health
- Conduct tree care activities including pruning, trimming, and removal while prioritizing safety and environmental considerations
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards
- Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and inventory supplies necessary for ongoing operations
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping installation, or related horticultural fields
- Supervising experience leading small to medium teams in outdoor or construction environments
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques, including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and pest management
- Familiarity with construction practices related to landscape projects, such as hardscaping or planting beds
- Hands-on experience with tree care practices and irrigation system management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and general landscape maintenance best practices
