Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for efficient meal assembly
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Assist in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service and presentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife skills and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning, food industry operations, or catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
