Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep landscapes lush and healthy
- Maintain landscape features such as planting beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements through pruning, trimming, planting, and cleaning
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Conduct irrigation system inspections and repairs to ensure proper watering of plants and turf
- Assist with snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients
- Support construction projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features like patios or walkways
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping machinery or construction equipment such as excavators or power tools
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, tree care, planting, and irrigation systems
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools safely in outdoor environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles and gardening best practices
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Nice-to-have skills include experience with snow plowing operations, hardscape installation, tree trimming expertise, landscaping design knowledge, or certifications related to horticulture or landscape maintenance.
