Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee landscape projects and coordinate team activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in horticulture or gardening, and hands-on experience in irrigation, construction, or landscape services. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure high-quality work, and contribute to the beautification of outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape activities, including patios, hardscaping, drainage work.
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper water management
- Lead and motivate a team of workers to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Assist with project planning, including site assessment and resource allocation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
- Collaborate with clients and management to deliver exceptional service and address any issues that arise
- Maintain equipment and tools necessary for landscape projects
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to develop their skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising teams within landscaping or horticultural environments
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and construction processes
- Leadership abilities with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical capability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
