Join the award-winning Toronto Public Service as Labourer 3 (Student) within our Solid Waste Management Services Division.
Major Responsibilities:
Walking on an assigned beat, picks up, clears and/or disposes of litter & loose garbage including but not limited to streets, laneways and walkways.
Removal of illegal notices, signs and posters.
Assists with cleanup for special events, such as parades and street closures
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
Must be registered, and maintain registration, as a full time student at a recognized and accredited post-secondary educational institution. (Written documentation will be required)
Your application must also demonstrate that you have the following skills:
Physically capable of performing required duties.
Able to work outside and in all weather conditions.
Capable of understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and training.
Deal courteously with the public and exercise good customer service skills.
Able to do shift work as required (afternoons and weekends), in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
