JuJu’s is a fast-growing QSR concept in Western Mass — two locations, more on the way. We’re known for craveable food, a fun room, and a team that actually likes showing up. We’re hiring a Kitchen Lead to anchor our line.
This is a real role with a real ceiling. If you come in and execute — clean stations, on time every shift, food out fast and right — there’s a clear path to Kitchen Supervisor: more responsibility, more pay, ownership of food safety, prep, ordering rhythm, and kitchen scheduling.
What you’ll do day-to-day
- Run the line: fried items (popcorn chicken, etc.), salads, pizza station — full kitchen execution
- Hit ticket times during rush without dropping quality
- Keep your station and the kitchen clean, stocked, and inspection-ready
- Manage prep so the next shift walks into a set-up kitchen, not a scramble
- Hold the standard for the cooks around you
Path to Kitchen Supervisor
If you want it and earn it, the supervisor role owns:
- Food safety + ServSafe compliance across the kitchen
- Prep planning and par levels
- Kitchen scheduling and labor
- Training new hires
- Pay reflects the jump — we’ll talk specifics when you’ve shown you can run the shift
What we’re looking for
- You show up on time. Every shift. No exceptions. This is the #1 thing.
- 1+ year on a real line (QSR, fast-casual, or full-service)
- Calm under volume, fast hands, clean habits
- You respect your coworkers and the people working around you
- ServSafe or willingness to get certified (we’ll pay for it)
- Bonus if you’ve stepped into a lead or sous role before — not required
The job, plainly
- Hours: Full-time, ~40/week. We close at 8 PM and you’re out by 8:30. No 1 AM closes, no double shifts unless you want them.
- Pay: 16-18/hr depending on experience, plus share of the house tip pool (all staff split tips — your kitchen work earns you in). $22-$28 / hour with tips
