Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and preparing food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support chefs and cooks during meal service by providing necessary utensils and ingredients.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and assisting with menu planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
