Come and join the team at The Hive Studio + Espresso Bar!

We are primarily looking for someone to organize and work with our kiln team. The responsibilities will include loading and unloading the kiln, scheduling kiln firings, training new kiln workers, and maintaining the kilns and kiln space.

Other responsibilities would include: running hand-building pottery workshops, theme nights, and kids’ day camps. Also, working closely with the Manager to plan new pottery teaching opportunities and partnerships.

The applicant will also be required to work the front cash. They will warmly greet customers as they walk through the doors and assist them with any questions they have regarding the process. They will help keep tables, brushes, and pallets clean while attending to the cash and espresso bar.

For a good fit, you must be able to greet customers easily and genuinely have an upbeat, positive attitude as we pride ourselves in the service we offer. Here are some requirements/preferences:

o Kiln and Pottery Experience
o Flexible Schedule (weekday, evening, and weekend availability is essential)
o References should accompany your resume
o Exceptional customer service skills
o Have availability on evenings and/or weekends (Saturday’s and Sunday’s)

Barrista experience considered an asset!
