Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to our furry clients. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the management staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during grooming procedures or helping fellow team members as needed.
- Support pet owners with customer service inquiries and provide information about services offered.
- Participate in training sessions for new staff on proper animal handling techniques and proper cleaning procedures.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet care or related fields such as pet grooming, pet sitting, dog training, or veterinary assistance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques and basic knowledge of animal behavior is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners effectively.
Requirements
- Must be able to work some weekends
- Must be able to work some night shifts, 9pm to 11pm.

Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
