Job Description
Experienced Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager with a strong background supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multi-family residential developments, including 4–6 storey wood-frame apartment and townhouse projects. Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder communication. Proven ability to work closely with project managers, consultants, trades, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all phases of 4–6 storey wood-frame residential construction projects from pre-construction through occupancy.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings, and project documentation.
- Support procurement activities, including trade tendering, bid evaluations, and subcontract administration.
- Monitor project progress and maintain updated schedules to identify and mitigate risks.
- Liaise with consultants, municipal authorities, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project costs, review invoices, and assist with monthly budget reporting and forecasts.
- Coordinate site activities with superintendents to ensure work progresses according to schedule.
- Participate in site meetings, safety meetings, and project progress reviews.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Assist with project closeout, deficiency tracking, turnover documentation, and warranty management.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating multi-family residential construction projects, including 4–6 storey wood-frame developments.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project controls.
- Knowledge of scheduling software, project management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
