Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Roofer to join our roofing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize advanced roofing techniques, and contribute to high-quality construction outcomes. Must be knowledgeable in shingles, metal, tile and TPO. Do not apply if you are unexperienced or laborer. Only journeyman or foreman need apply.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace roofing materials including shingles, metal panels, membranes, and other roofing systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to execute projects accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites.
- Conduct site inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to determine material quantities and project timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven roofing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise installation.
- Knowledge of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, membrane systems.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in executing complex tasks like fabrication or restoration work.
- Valid relevant certifications or licenses preferred but not required; willingness to obtain necessary credentials is appreciated.
Pay: $25.00 – $50.00 per hour
