Straightline Kia is looking for a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. We’re a busy shop with steady volume, a supportive team. Whether you’re KIA-trained or coming from another brand, we’ll get you up to speed.
What you’ll be doing
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on Kia and other makes
- Perform warranty, recall, and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer standards
- Complete accurate repair orders, documentation, and warranty write-ups
- Road test vehicles to confirm complaints and verify repairs
- Work alongside apprentices and help develop the next generation of techs
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized bay
What you bring
- Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician certificate (Red Seal endorsement an asset; out-of-province certificates welcome)
- 3+ years of dealership or independent shop experience
- Strong diagnostic ability, you can chase down a driveability or electrical concern without throwing parts at it
- Your own set of tools
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract
- Kia training/certification an asset, but we’ll provide it
