Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools to produce cabinet parts with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Fanuc control systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to keep machinery running smoothly.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure product quality.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment within the manufacturing facility.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery like press brake machines, stamping presses, welding stations, and fabrication tools to maximize uptime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with hand tools, fabrication equipment, and assembly line processes.
- Support packaging, assembly, and fabrication tasks as needed to meet production deadlines.
Experience
- Proven factory or manufacturing experience working with CNC machinery in a cabinet or woodworking environment preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and CAM software; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical knowledge related to machining processes.
- Hands-on experience operating tooling such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control instruments for ensuring accuracy.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures including forklift operation within a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work efficiently on assembly lines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality assurance.
- Basic math skills necessary for setting up machines and verifying measurements; familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus.
