Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Job description: Jersey Cape is seeking seasonal (May-October) evening and weekend 16-35 hours a week.
Janitors to work on small teams of 2-3 at least one other person Cleaning the Comfort Stations (Beach Restrooms) along Beach Ave in Cape May until October 2026.
Available Schedules:
Monday: 2pm-10pm
Tuesday 2pm-10pm
Friday 2pm-10pm
Saturday 2pm-10pm
Other Days will be availiblesporadically throughout the summer!
Please let us know if you can work 2-4 of the listed Days.
Janitors are responsible for performing a cleaning duties and reporting plumbing issues to the city, including but not limited to mopping floors, scrubbing sinks doors and high touch surfaces, cleaning restroom equipment, trash removal etc. Team will work on thier feet and walk along beach ave clearning and closing 12 public restrooms.
Jersey Cape services locations throughout Cape May and Cumberland County and the ability to travel between sites is essential. Qualified individuals must be able to push/pull/lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
Employment contingent upon results of background and driver’s license checks.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must have effective verbal communication skills.
- Good physical stamina and work tolerance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to work under stress and maintain an even temperament.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of equipment and supplies in performing general janitorial tasks.
- Prior janitorial experience is a plus
