JANITOR
Sun Processing, Surrey BC
Status:Permanent, Full time
Hours:5 days/week, Dayshift
Wage:$20.50/hr

Focus
The Janitor is responsible for in maintaining our high sanitation standards within all areas of the facility.
Key Accountabilities:
Clean building floors by sweeping, Moping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Dispose of garbage and recycling material as per Star produce guidelines
Organize the production, and warehouse area
Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
Clean and sanitize sinks, countertop, Tables, coffee machine, fridge, Dishwasher in Lunch room
Clean and sanitize washrooms
Ensuring sanitation quality meets Company standards by following cleaning procedures and communicating with Food safety Coordinator (FSC)
Complete sanitation daily documentation (checklists) accurately.
Must be able to read and follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company.
Ability to use cleaning, sanitizing chemicals, high-pressure, low-pressure water hoses
Operating floor scrubbers other equipment as required
Able to do other duties as assigned

Must be self-motivated and cooperative team member

Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Minimum 6 months sanitation experience is an asset
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining a dedication to sanitation and safety
Physical requirements
Must be able to lift from floor to waist 50 lbs.
Must be able to lift from waist to shoulder 35 lbs.
Must be able to push/pull a maximum force of 50 lbs.
