We are currently hiring aFull timeJanitorto join our Housekeeping team. Round Lake Treatment Centre is found in a calming rural environment, surrounded by nature, overlooking Round Lake and situated on the traditional spiritual healing lands of the Syilx nation.
Round Lake Treatment Centre is a residential wellness facility that offers clinical expertise and cultural healing processes, combined with a trauma informed approach to healing to help participants attain an alcohol and drug free life-style.
Round Lake Treatment Centre supports staff with opportunities that encourage personal wellness and professional development and are willing to train.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
· Vacuum, sweep, mop, strip and wax (as applicable) floors, carpets and vents.
· Dust, wipe and wash (as applicable) chairs, tables, walls, door/window frames, furnishings.
· Window washing inside and out.
· Daily cleaning of public washrooms.
· Ensure client rooms are clean, beds made, paper and cleaning supplies and towels are refilled each week and for new clients coming in.
· Washing dishes.
Skills and Abilities:
· Grade 10 completion
· Certification as a qualified custodian or a commensurate combination of training and experience.
· WHMIS, OFA Level 1
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Physically fit, able to lift, unload and move up to 40 lbs.
· Knowledge of Health & Safety issues and applicable policies and procedures.
