Who are we?
Owner-operated and community-focused, the Wells Hotel is seeking to elevate our historic 13-room hotel to a destination accommodation, with a renewed vision for ambience, design, and experience. Guest experience plays a central role in building our vision.
The Tasks:
As the team member who works primarily in guest accommodation and common areas, you would be responsible for:
- Creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests
- Preparing, cleaning, and stocking guest rooms
- Cleaning and maintenance of common areas such as lounge, lobby, and washrooms
- Washing, folding, and restocking laundry and linens
- Sorting and removal of garbage and recycling
- Monitoring and restocking guest amenities
- Making recommendations for guest room improvements
- Assisting with painting, redecorating, and room improvements
- Greeting guests and responding to complaints and requests
- Making reservations and facilitating check-in and check-outs
- Monitoring work areas for safety and sanitation issues
- Responding to guest complaints and challenges and collaborating with the staff team to find appropriate solutions.
- Collaborating with the staff team to create services and practices for exceptional guest experiences.
What you’ll get
- Full-time position, 40 hours a week, with opportunity to grow
- Starting at $22.00/hr with increase to $24.00 after the completion of probationary period
