**Job Summary:**
This position is a PT/Casual position with potentially FT hours during busy season.
A warehouse helper/driver for a home staging business is responsible for safely transporting furniture, decor, and staging materials between warehouse, client properties. The role involves loading and unloading items, maintaining inventory, ensuring timely arrival, and adhering to safety protocols. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, physical stamina, and experience with warehouse or logistics operations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential to coordinate effectively with the staging team and clients, ensuring smooth operations and timely project execution.
We are seeking a Warehouse helper/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for warehouse duties and driving 1-ton truck.
Duties include assisting the home stagers in loading and unloading furniture (beds, mattresses, sofa, kitchen tables) totes, bins, bags. We do not move household appliances (fridges, stove, etc). Assisting the stagers onsite to hang wall art, curtain rods (light handyman duties required).
Must be quick, effective and to be able to lift the weight of a sofa, dresser.
Return to homes once home is sold to remove all furniture used for staging. Must be able to work as a team member and individually.
**Responsibilities:**
– Perform warehouse duties including loading/unloading trucks.
– Move/Organize materials within the warehouse.
– Maintain warehouse organized and clean
– Maintain tracking of vehicle maintenance logs, oil change when required
– Ability to assemble and disassemble furniture in a quick and effective method
– Drive company vehicles to transport items between locations.
– Must be able to take directions from stagers & management
**Qualifications:**
– Prior experience in warehouse/moving company an asset but not required
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
– Must be able to drive and hold a valid driver’s license with a CLEAN driving record
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
