Garrett Demolition is seeking EXPERIENCED Heavy Equipment Operators with EXTENSIVE demolition industry experience to join our growing team. This position requires skilled operators who can safely and efficiently perform large-scale commercial demolition projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, productivity, and professionalism.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL OPERATOR POSITION. Candidates must have proven demolition experience and a strong understanding of commercial demolition operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Minimum 3 years of demolition industry experience
- Demonstrated experience performing large-scale commercial structure demolition
- Extensive experience operating excavators in demolition applications
- Experience with site grading, material processing, and material separation
- Experience loading demolition debris and materials into end-dump trailers for transport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a demolition crew
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Safe operation of demolition excavators and related attachments
- Knowledge of structural demolition sequencing and methods
- Understanding of demolition safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Ability to identify and separate demolition materials for recycling and disposal
- Knowledge of site cleanup, grading, and project completion requirements
- Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to jobsite safety
Essential Job Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment on commercial demolition projects
- Safely demolish large-scale commercial buildings and structures
- Perform structural demolition according to project plans and safety requirements
- Separate demolition materials for recycling, disposal, and transport
- Load demolition debris safely and efficiently into end-dump trailers
- Perform site grading and final site preparation activities
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and basic equipment maintenance checks
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with general demolition operations as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to sit, climb, bend, and perform physical labor as required
- Ability to work extended hours and overtime when necessary
- Ability to safely access active demolition jobsites

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
