Red Deer Polytechnic is licensed to deliver the 2019 Alberta Health Provincial Curriculum. This is a full-time credit program with nine courses which include blended learning (virtual real time classes) with a combination of virtual and in-person lab components, and three clinical placements.
The program prepares students to work as Health Care Aides in acute care, continuing care, hospitals, and home settings, assisting individuals with eating, dressing, washing, and mobility.
This program consists of a variety of learning approaches including online readings, assignments and lessons, in-person labs with a certified instructor, and in-person clinical placements.
