Job Description
As a Summer Labourer, you’ll play an integral role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll get hands-on experience working with metal materials, all while learning about the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Job Description
Sorting, picking, and processing scrap metals
Clean and inspect recycling yard by sweeping and raking materials and debris
Perform other general labourer duties as assigned
Directing customer traffic during busy periods
Qualifications
Must be a current student or have recently finished school/college
Must be at least 18 years of age
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow safety protocols
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience will be considered an asset, but is not required
Additional Information
Temporary, full-time position
May to August
Flexible hours – including weekends
What we offer:
$17.50/hour
Overtime Opportunities
Successful candidates can request a recommendation letter at the end of the work term
Health and Safety:
Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM Recycling’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management
