Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced FRC & Structural QAQC Specialist to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes in our starting construction project. The project is located in the Hope Bay area and consists of the building of a new mine. This role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations related to reinforced concrete and structural elements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, construction inspection expertise, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. The is a FIFO position flying out of Edmonton on a 14-14.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of reinforced concrete (FRC) and structural components during various phases of construction.
- Collect and document data related to material quality, workmanship, and adherence to project specifications.
- Analyze inspection data to identify potential issues or deviations from standards, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Review construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify compliance with design requirements.
- Perform construction inspections to monitor ongoing work, ensuring it meets quality control protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams to address quality concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and analyses for project documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards related to structural integrity and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills to evaluate inspection results accurately.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety protocols relevant to reinforced concrete (FRC) and structural components.
- Ability to identify potential issues through visual inspections and testing procedures.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings clearly and collaborating with project teams.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prior experience with construction site inspections is preferred; certifications in quality assurance or related fields are a plus.
