Overview
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Driver and Warehouse Worker, where your energy and expertise will keep our operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and supporting warehouse distribution processes. Your proactive approach will help ensure safe, accurate, and timely shipping and receiving, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using electric order picker equipment and ensure accurate selection of products according to order specifications.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Assist in warehouse management tasks such as inventory control, cycle counts, and maintaining organized storage areas to optimize space utilization.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts by coordinating material handling activities with team members and supervisors.
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts) in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with order picking tools such as <PERSON> pickers.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including pallet jacks and lift trucks; mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining attention to safety protocols.
