Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator who can handle both estimating and follow-ups with General Contractors. This role requires someone who can take ownership of bids from start to finish, including communication and coordination to help secure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Develop and submit bid proposals
- Coordinate with suppliers for pricing and lead times
- Follow up with General Contractors on submitted bids
- Set up calls/meetings to discuss scope and pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project tracking
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating
- Experience in drywall, steel stud, insulation, or similar trades preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Comfortable communicating and following up with General Contractors
- Proficiency in estimating tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Work Schedule:
- Part-time: 2–3 days per week
